Death toll from Myanmar earthquake rises to 2,700

The death toll from the recent earthquake in Myanmar (Burma) has risen to 2,719.
According to foreign news agencies, the earthquake has also left 4,521 people injured, while more than 400 individuals remain missing, with search efforts ongoing. Myanmar’s army chief has expressed concerns that the death toll could exceed 3,000.
It is important to note that on March 28, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, with its epicenter located 17.2 kilometers from the city of Mandalay.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has begun sending aid to the earthquake victims in Myanmar. During the ceremony to dispatch the relief supplies, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with Myanmar’s people, stating that the Prime Minister and the government of Pakistan stand by them in this difficult time.
A total of 70 tons of relief supplies, including tents, tarpaulins, blankets, ready-to-eat food, medicines, and water modules, have been sent to assist the earthquake victims.
