Ejaz Chaudhry, Ahmed Chattha, and Ahmed Bhachar disqualified; seats declared vacant

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified Senators Ejaz Chaudhry, Ahmed Chattha (NA-66 Wazirabad), and Ahmed Khan Bhachar (PP-87 Mianwali) following their convictions by an anti-terrorism court.

According to the official notification, the disqualifications were made under the Constitution after the court rulings. Senator Ejaz Chaudhry was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The ECP has declared all three seats vacant, and by-elections will be held in due course.
