Faf du Plessis breaks Babar Azam’s T20 record

South African star batter Faf du Plessis has broken a major T20 record previously held by Pakistan captain Babar Azam.

Playing for the Texas Super Kings in the Major League Cricket (MLC), Du Plessis smashed a brilliant 103 off 53 balls against MI New York, hitting 5 fours and 9 sixes. This was his second century of the season.

With this knock, Faf became the first player over 40 to score two T20 centuries. And the T20 captain with the most centuries (8), surpassing Babar Azam’s record of 7.
