Firdous Jamal’s wife files for divorce after 35 years of marriage.

Renowned Pakistani actor Firdous Jamal is facing personal turmoil as his wife has filed for divorce after 35 years of marriage—a revelation shared by their son, Hamza Firdous, in a video statement. Hamza expressed the painful reality of the situation, stating, “No woman desires a divorce after 35 years of marriage.”
In his heartfelt message, Hamza explained that his mother had endured numerous hardships in the hope that things would improve, but unfortunately, the situation remained unchanged. He spoke candidly about his father’s flaws and the negative behaviours that caused distress within the family. Despite attempts to discuss these issues with Firdous’s relatives, Hamza felt they chose to side with their family rather than acknowledge the problems.
The family has also been dealing with Firdous’s battle with cancer, which has added to their struggles. Hamza revealed that they organised expensive treatments out of obligation, expressing frustration that his father portrayed their efforts as insufficient. “It was our duty as sons, but since our father is portraying it as if we did nothing, I need to share these details,” he said, emphasising the emotional toll the situation has taken on the family.
Hamza also highlighted the contributions of his siblings during this difficult time, noting their efforts to support their father despite feeling that their actions had little effect. He recounted a particularly distressing moment when he fainted after witnessing the physical toll of his father’s illness, underscoring the emotional burden the family has carried.
