Fire Erupts in Cargo Area of Lahore Airport, Quickly Contained by Rescue Operation

Lahore: A major fire broke out in the cargo area of Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, triggering an emergency response. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and the blaze was brought under control swiftly.
According to Rescue 1122, the fire erupted suddenly, and emergency vehicles were dispatched immediately. Eight firefighting units were sent to the site, supported by Pakistan Air Force vehicles as part of the joint response.
The Pakistan Airports Authority confirmed that the fire occurred one kilometre away from the operational area, and airport flight operations remained unaffected.
Key officials, including the airport manager and COO, were present at the scene. PIA and Menzies cargo sheds were cordoned off as a precaution. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
