In Punjab, dense smog and fog have severely disrupted flight operations, particularly in Multan, where visibility is extremely low. Due to poor visibility, six flights to and from Multan were cancelled.

According to aviation sources, smog and operational challenges led to delays in 34 flights nationwide. PK-172 from Muscat to Multan was diverted to Islamabad, while PF-723 from Jeddah to Multan was rerouted to Lahore due to low visibility.

Sources also reported that PF-733 from Muscat to Lahore was diverted to Sialkot, and a private airline flight from Dubai to Lahore landed in Islamabad. Additionally, two domestic flights from Multan to Karachi, two flights from Jeddah to Multan, and two flights from Riyadh to Multan were cancelled.

Further, delays affected QR-616 and QR-617 flights from Doha to Multan, as well as PA-871 and FZ-325/326 flights from Jeddah and Dubai. Arrivals and departures of flights from Muscat, Karachi, and Doha to Lahore also faced delays.

Other routes impacted by delays included flights from Lahore to Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Istanbul, Jeddah, Karachi, Madinah, and Al Ain to Islamabad, as well as flights from Jeddah, Riyadh, Istanbul, and Bahrain. Sharjah and Istanbul flights to Karachi were also delayed, while a PIA flight from Karachi to Lahore departed four hours behind schedule.
