Former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Joins Pakistan People’s Party

Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, has officially joined the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

The announcement came after his meeting on Monday with PPP Women’s Wing President Faryal Talpur. Punjab Governor, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Zia-ul-Najar, and other senior party leaders were also present during the meeting.

According to the spokesperson for Zardari House, Ali Shan Soni and Ahmed Sagheer also joined the PPP alongside Tanveer Ilyas.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas praised the PPP’s longstanding sacrifices and efforts for the Kashmir cause, calling them commendable.

Faryal Talpur welcomed the new members to the party and expressed optimism about the future. She stated that under Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership, a new era of development would commence in Azad Kashmir, and the dream of freedom for the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir would draw closer to reality.
