Rawalpindi authorities have registered a case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, former President Dr. Arif Alvi, and several others over violent protests organised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on November 24.

The first case was lodged at the Taxila police station under anti-terrorism laws. It names opposition leader Omar Ayub, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Aleema Khan, Azam Swati, Taimur Masood, Shehryar Riaz, and over 300 other local leaders and workers.

According to the complaint, protesters damaged government vehicles and motorcycles. They also allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a police driver before releasing him.

The FIR states that the PTI chairman directed party leaders from Adiala Jail to plan a march on Islamabad. Case number 2594 includes charges of interfering in official duties, violating Section 144, damaging public and private property, and blocking roads by assembling unlawful gatherings.
