Four schoolchildren among five killed, several injured in Mastung blast

A police official and four schoolchildren were killed while several others sustained injuries in an explosion near a police wagon in the Civil Hospital Chowk area in Mastung.

According to source, the police vehicle was the target of the attackers. However, a school wagon which was passing by was also hit.

Police and Rescue teams reached the site soon after the blast and shifted the injured to the DHQ Hospital.

Hospital sources said that the policeman and three chidlren were received dead, while a child succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The police wagon has been completely destroyed in the blast while several other vehicles and rickshaws have been damaged.

The sound of the explosion was heard in nearby areas.

BALOCHISTAN CHIEF MINISTER CONDEMNS ATTACK

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed his grief on the loss of life in blast.

In his message to the families of the policeman and the children the chief minister said that the killers would not be spared.
