France Recognizes Palestine as an Independent State

After the UK, Canada, Australia, and Portugal, France has also officially recognized Palestine as an independent state. This decision is seen as a major step in support of the Palestinian people.

French President Emmanuel Macron made the announcement during a speech at the United Nations conference. He said that the time has come to recognize Palestine and support peace in the region.

President Macron called the war in Gaza unjust and said it must come to an end. He spoke about the need to stop violence and protect innocent lives.

He also demanded that the remaining 48 hostages held by Hamas be released immediately. He said this was a necessary step based on human rights and justice.
