Fuel Prices
Fuel prices in Pakistan are likely to come down in the next two weeks. The drop in global oil rates is expected to reduce local petrol and diesel prices. According to sources, petrol may become cheaper by Rs 9.07 per liter. Diesel prices could also go down by Rs 3.73 per liter, offering relief to drivers and transporters.

However, not all fuel types will see a decrease. Kerosene oil is likely to rise by Rs 3.55 per liter. Light diesel may also go up by Rs 2.33 per liter. These increases are linked to supply costs and market demand. As a result, people using these fuels may face a small rise in expenses.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will review the numbers and submit a report. This summary will go to the Petroleum Division by July 31. The changes are based on recent international price shifts. OGRA adjusts local prices every two weeks to match global trends.

Final approval for the new fuel prices will come from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He will decide whether to accept the proposed changes. The government updates fuel prices twice a month. While prices went up last month, this time they are expected to drop.

In short, petrol and diesel users may see some savings, while kerosene and light diesel users could pay more. The new rates will take effect after official approval. With the final decision expected soon, many are hoping for a break in fuel costs.
