Global Passport Rankings 2025

Pakistan’s passport has been ranked 96th out of 99 on the Henley Passport Index 2025, according to the latest rankings released by Henley & Partners, a London-based global citizenship advisory firm.

The Henley Passport Index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and ranks 199 passports based on how many countries their holders can enter without a prior visa.

Pakistan is tied with Somalia, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to only 32 countries out of 227 destinations worldwide.

In a notable shift, the United States has dropped to its lowest-ever position—10th place, marking a significant decline from its top ranking in 2014. According to Henley & Partners, 33 countries now offer better global travel freedom than the U.S.

Singapore, for the second half of 2025, remains the world’s most powerful passport, granting its citizens visa-free access to 193 destinations.

Other top-ranking countries include Japan, Germany, South Korea, Spain, and Italy, all offering visa-free access to over 190 countries.
