After weeks of upward momentum, gold prices have dropped in both Pakistan and international markets, bringing some relief to local buyers.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold in the global market fell by $34 per ounce, bringing it down to $3,276 per ounce. This international drop has directly impacted the domestic market.
In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola (11.66 grams) has decreased by Rs 3,400, bringing it down to Rs 345,800. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has dropped by Rs 2,915, now standing at Rs 296,467.
Just a day earlier, gold had surged by $21 globally, pushing local prices up by Rs 2,100 per tola, reaching Rs 349,200.
