Gold prices surge sharply in local market

Following a rise in global rates, gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Monday.
According to the All Pakistan Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs 3,600 per tola, reaching Rs 361,200. 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 3,087, now priced at Rs 309,671.
On the international market, gold climbed by $36 per ounce, reaching $3,387. Meanwhile, the price of silver in the local market remained unchanged at Rs 4,012 per tola.
