CCTV footage showing the shocking moment a solid gold toilet, weighing 98kg and worth £4.8 million, was stolen from Blenheim Palace has been presented in court.
The art piece, “America,” was stolen in the early hours of September 14, 2019. Footage shown at Oxford Crown Court captures two vehicles entering the Great Courtyard, where hooded thieves—armed with sledgehammers and a crowbar—forcefully break in. One individual is seen escaping while carrying a golden toilet seat!
Three suspects, Michael Jones (39), Fred Doe (36), and Bora Guccuk (41), have denied the burglary and money laundering charges. The trial continues.
