Green lane for motorcycles misused before opening

Lahore – A green lane meant for motorcycles, which is about to be officially opened, has already been taken over by cars and rickshaws.

The green lane, stretching from Arfa Karim Tower to the Model Town Roundabout, is starting to show damage because it’s being used incorrectly. Instead of being used by motorcycles, the lane is being occupied by cars and rickshaws, especially near the Model Town Roundabout, where the lane is still open.

Instead of fixing the lane properly, authorities have just painted it with green distemper to cover up the damage, which raises questions about how long it will last. The misuse by cars and rickshaws is likely to cause more damage, making it harder for motorcyclists to use the lane safely. Authorities need to take action to stop the misuse and properly maintain the lane before it is officially opened.
