City SSP Arif Aziz confirmed police registered a case on Saturday. So far, police have recorded statements from 10 people, including six guards. Investigators will review DVR footage to uncover key details. Therefore, police aim to expose all causes behind the tragedy.

Earlier, officials ruled out a short circuit as the sole cause. Instead, they launched a comprehensive investigation into the fire. About 40 percent of the building has already collapsed, officials said. Still, rescue teams searched all accessible areas despite extreme danger.
