Gulf Countries Deport Over 38,000 Pakistanis in 2025,NA Told

Gulf countries deported 38,616 Pakistani nationals during 2025, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis revealed in the National Assembly. Saudi Arabia led with 27,692 deportations, followed by the UAE with 6,794. Oman deported 2,537, Bahrain 786, Kuwait 163, and Qatar 644. Authorities cited illegal stay, visa violations, theft, begging, expired iqama, and other criminal offenses.
The Ministry of Interior said the Federal Investigation Agency conducted 551 raids this year against illegal foreign currency trade. Authorities registered 576 cases and arrested 703 people. Courts convicted 324 accused individuals so far. These actions aim to curb hawala and hundi networks and improve law enforcement abroad.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence updated the Assembly on Pakistan’s first hyperspectral satellite, currently undergoing orbit testing. Officials said the satellite will provide data to organizations by the end of the month. They emphasized the satellite’s role in agriculture, environmental monitoring, and disaster management.

Under the newly prepared National Utilization Framework, satellite services will enhance citizen services through advanced space technology. The framework ensures practical use of satellite data across key national sectors. Officials highlighted how this technology will support agriculture planning and disaster response.
The deportation statistics and satellite developments reflect the government’s dual focus on citizen regulation abroad and domestic technological advancement. Lawmakers expressed interest in both initiatives during the National Assembly session. Officials assured continued updates on enforcement actions and satellite operations.
