Imad Wasim announces retirement from international cricket

Pakistan’s all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced his retirement from international cricket, bringing an end to his remarkable career on the world stage. The 35-year-old made the decision after much reflection, expressing deep gratitude for representing his country.
In a heartfelt message to his fans and supporters on the social media platform X, Wasim shared, “Representing Pakistan on the world stage has been the greatest honour of my life, and every moment wearing the green jersey has been unforgettable.” He thanked his fans for their unwavering support, which he said had been his greatest strength throughout his career.
“From the highs to the lows, your encouragement has pushed me to give my best for our beloved country,” Wasim wrote, acknowledging the passion and love of his supporters.
While retiring from international cricket, Wasim emphasised that his journey in the sport is far from over. He confirmed that he will continue playing in domestic and franchise cricket, ensuring his fans will still see him in action in various cricketing formats.
Wasim concluded his message with a note of gratitude, saying, “Thank you for everything. Pakistan.”
