Rawalpindi: Police have released all PTI leaders, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s three sisters, who were detained earlier outside Adiala Jail on Thursday.
According to sources, police officials confirmed that no PTI leader is currently in custody. Aleema Khan, Noreen Khanum, Uzma Khanum, and others were dropped off at a hotel near Chakri Interchange after their release.
Earlier, police had detained the group — which included PTI leaders Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Omar Ayub, Ahmad Khan Bhachar, and Qasim Niazi — near the jail after showing them arrest warrants. A heated exchange reportedly took place between police and PTI members before the arrests.
Notably, Zartaj Gul, Seemabia Tahir, and Tabish Farooq were not detained, while PTI workers at the scene raised loud slogans in protest.
