Indian Drone Downed by Air Defence System Near Gujranwala Cantt

Gujranwala: A dramatic incident occurred early Thursday morning when two loud explosions were heard in the vicinity of Gujranwala Cantt. The sounds were linked to an Indian drone attempting to enter Pakistani airspace, which was swiftly targeted and downed by the air defence system installed in the area.

Military sources confirmed that the drone, flying at a high altitude, attempted to breach Pakistan’s borders when it was intercepted by the air defence system deployed near Gujranwala Cantt. The system activated promptly, firing two rounds that resulted in the drone’s destruction.

According to police sources, the wreckage of the drone was located near the village of Dinga, close to Gujarat. Law enforcement agencies, along with police, quickly arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the drone’s debris. The wreckage was recovered from the fields near Pir Jhand, and authorities are investigating the make and model of the drone.
