Internet Shutdown in Afghanistan Brings Kabul Airport to a Halt

The ongoing internet shutdown in Afghanistan has caused severe disruption, leading to the complete suspension of operations at Kabul International Airport.
According to international media, the lack of internet connectivity has not only affected domestic and international communications but has also disrupted essential services, including banking and online education.
Eyewitnesses reported that the airport appeared nearly deserted, with no visible activity of arriving or departing flights. On Tuesday, several flights to and from Kabul were canceled, while the status of many others was marked as “unknown.”
A passenger who wished to land at Kabul International Airport was informed that no flights would operate before Thursday, while another local resident claimed that all flights had been suspended since Monday evening.
The Taliban-led government has not officially explained the reason behind the internet shutdown. However, authorities have confirmed that the restrictions began on Monday and will remain in place until further notice.
