Russia Launches Major Drone and Missile Attack on Ukraine

Ukraine’s capital Kyiv faced heavy destruction after a large wave of Russian drone and missile strikes. At least eight people were killed and many others were injured when hundreds of drones hit different parts of the city. Officials described this incident as Russia’s major attack on Ukraine, as it involved one of the largest missile and drone assaults in recent months.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia launched 430 drones and 18 missiles toward Kyiv. He added that these attacks targeted residential areas, buildings, and important energy facilities, causing serious damage across the city.

Ukrainian authorities claimed they successfully shot down many Russian drones and missiles, but several still reached their targets. Many buildings were destroyed, fires broke out in some areas, and rescue teams continued working through the night to help trapped and injured civilians.

According to Arab media, the attack also damaged the building of Azerbaijan’s embassy in Kyiv. Following this incident, Azerbaijan summoned the Russian ambassador and officially recorded its protest, increasing diplomatic tension in the region.

Meanwhile, Russia once again warned NATO to stay out of the Ukraine conflict. Russian officials stated that any direct involvement by NATO could lead to dangerous consequences. Because of this situation, Russia’s major attack on Ukraine has raised strong concerns across the international community.
