IPL: Abhishek Sharma Fined for Breaching Code of Conduct

Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma faced disciplinary action during an IPL match for breaching the league’s code of conduct. The incident occurred in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, drawing attention from both media and fans.

Reports stated that Sharma expressed visible dissatisfaction after being given out. He appeared frustrated on the field and gestured while returning to the pavilion, showing disagreement with the on-field review decision that confirmed his dismissal.

As a result, Sharma was penalized with a fine of 25 percent of his match fee. In addition, he received one demerit point under IPL rules. The punishment was applied according to Article 2.3 of the league’s disciplinary code for a Level 1 offense.
