Iran has officially announced that it will not participate in the Iran boycott FIFA World Cup 2026 scheduled to be played in the United States this year. The decision comes amid rising political tensions and security concerns, according to statements made by Iranian officials.

Reports say that Iran has decided to boycott the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will partly be hosted by the United States. The announcement was made by Iran’s Minister of Sports, Ahmad Donyamali, who explained the reasons behind the country’s decision.

According to media reports, the minister said that Iran cannot take part in a tournament hosted in the United States after the killing of their Supreme Leader. He added that under such circumstances it is not possible for Iran to send its team to compete in the event.

Ahmad Donyamali further stated that the current situation does not justify participation in the global tournament. He said the safety of Iranian citizens and athletes is a major concern, and the environment is not suitable for taking part in such an international competition.

It is important to note that the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. However, Iran has made it clear that it will not take part, reinforcing the country’s position through the Iran boycott FIFA World Cup 2026 decision.
