Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on Muslim countries to cut ties with Israel before attending an emergency summit in Doha. He said breaking relations with what he called a “fake regime” would help unite Islamic nations. Pezeshkian hoped the summit would result in strong actions against Israel. His comments followed an Israeli strike on Hamas members in Qatar, which triggered the meeting. Leaders from across the Muslim world are gathering to address the crisis.

The emergency summit in Doha brings together top Arab and Islamic leaders. It aims to show unity and pressure Israel to end the Gaza war. Among those attending are Pezeshkian, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas arrived in Qatar a day earlier. The summit seeks to issue a resolution on Israel’s strike and ongoing regional actions.

Qatar’s foreign ministry confirmed that the summit will discuss a draft resolution on the Israeli attack. Qatar also plays a key mediation role in the Israel-Hamas conflict. It hosts the largest U.S. military base in the region. Despite this, Qatar supports Arab solidarity against Israel’s actions. Leaders aim to balance diplomacy with strong regional pressure.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said the issue has outgrown the Israel-Palestine conflict. He warned that Israeli expansionism threatens the entire region. Fidan called for a united Arab and Islamic response. He stressed the need for a new approach to counter Israel’s regional influence. His message reflected growing frustration among Muslim nations.

Meanwhile, Hamas urged leaders to take a strong and clear stand at the summit. Politburo member Bassem Naim said they want a decisive and united response. The summit comes at a time of growing global pressure on Israel. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen. Muslim nations now face a crucial test of unity and action.
