Israel on high alert amid fears of further Iranian missile strikes

Tel Aviv: The Israeli military has issued a high alert for potential Iranian missile attacks tonight, urging citizens to take shelter in secure locations.

According to Al Jazeera, Israel Army Radio reported that more retaliatory strikes from Iran are expected in the coming hours. In response, hospitals in Tel Aviv suburbs have begun relocating patients to underground bunkers. Emergency measures have been activated across the country, with medical staff treating those wounded in previous attacks.

The heightened alert follows Iran’s large-scale retaliatory operation, “Wa’ad al-Sadiq 3”, in response to Israeli aggression. Over 150 ballistic and hypersonic missiles were launched at various Israeli targets, destroying multiple buildings, killing at least 5 people—including a woman—and injuring more than 170.

Iranian missiles reportedly struck sensitive sites in Tel Aviv, including a nuclear research centre and the Israel Defence Forces headquarters. The assault, which continued through the night, has intensified fears of broader regional escalation.
