Israel Returns Bodies of 30 Palestinian Prisoners Showing Signs of Torture Amid Fragile Gaza Truce

Israel on Friday handed over the bodies of 30 Palestinian prisoners to Palestinian authorities under a prisoner exchange agreement — many of which bore signs of torture and severe abuse, according to health officials.
The repatriation took place under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that so far 225 bodies have been received, several showing burn marks, mutilation, and evidence of violent treatment.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israeli airstrikes reportedly continued in parts of Gaza, killing three more Palestinians in Shejaiya, Jabalia Camp, and Khan Younis on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hamas stated it was still searching for the remains of deceased Israeli captives.
Under the terms of the truce, Hamas released 20 Israeli hostages, while Israel freed nearly 2,000 Palestinian political prisoners.
However, humanitarian organizations say the truce remains fragile, as sporadic Israeli strikes continue and the flow of aid into Gaza remains severely restricted.
