Israel Approves Gaza Ceasefire and Hostage Exchange Deal

The Israeli government has officially approved a ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, international media reported.
According to official statements, the Israeli Cabinet convened a special session to approve the Gaza peace plan, attended by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the government has approved the release of all Israeli hostages held in Gaza, marking the beginning of an immediate ceasefire.
U.S. officials stated that a joint task force of 200 personnel will be deployed to oversee the peace process in Gaza. The force will include troops from Egypt and Qatar, while no American soldiers will enter Gaza territory.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting in the White House, former U.S. President Donald Trump said that the attack on Iran played a “decisive role” in resolving the Gaza conflict and restoring peace.
“We have succeeded in ending the war in Gaza,” Trump declared, adding that Israeli hostages are expected to be released by Monday or Tuesday.
Trump also announced his plans to visit Egypt to attend the formal signing ceremony of the ceasefire agreement. He added that an international coalition will help rebuild Gaza and ensure long-term peace and stability in the region.
