Israel Vows to Continue War Against Hamas Despite Ceasefire

Despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement, Israel’s military leadership has made it clear that the war against Hamas in Gaza is far from over.
According to international media, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Israel’s Chief of Staff, stated that the campaign against Hamas will continue “until the last hostage or their body is brought back.”
Addressing soldiers, the army chief said, “The war is not over yet. We must complete our mission — bring back our captives and continue the fight against Hamas.” He added that learning from experience is both a moral and professional duty, and the Israeli forces will pursue this mission with determination and courage.
Meanwhile, Israel has rejected the presence of Turkish forces in Gaza under the U.S.-backed peace plan.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar told a press conference in Budapest that under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey has adopted a hostile stance toward Israel. “It is unacceptable for us to allow Turkish troops to enter the Gaza Strip,” he said, adding that this position had been clearly conveyed to U.S. officials.
According to Reuters, former U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan includes a proposal to deploy an international force in Gaza to help maintain the fragile truce and oversee stability. However, it remains unclear which countries will contribute troops to the mission.
While the U.S. has ruled out sending its own forces, potential contributors reportedly include Indonesia, the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.
