Italy defeated Nepal to register their first-ever victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, thanks to outstanding batting performances by two brothers. In a Group C match played in Mumbai, Italy chased down the target comfortably without losing a wicket. The result marked a proud moment for the team, as Italy first T20 World Cup win became a historic milestone in their cricket journey.

Batting first, Nepal struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 123 runs. Their batting lineup looked slow and cautious, failing to post a challenging total. Italy’s bowlers maintained discipline throughout the innings and restricted Nepal to a modest score.

In reply, Italy’s openers Justin Mosca and Anthony Mosca gave their team a flying start. The Mosca brothers played aggressive cricket from the beginning and dominated the Nepal bowlers. It was only the second time in T20 World Cup history that two brothers opened the innings together in a match.

With this dominant performance, Italy first T20 World Cup win has now been recorded in tournament history. Italy will next face England on Monday, while Nepal will look to secure their first points when they play against the West Indies on Sunday.
