Karachi to Experience Rising Temperatures, Unhealthy Air Quality

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a rise in temperatures for Karachi starting tomorrow (Monday). The city is expected to face hotter conditions in the coming days.
According to the PMD’s latest forecast, Karachi will experience hot and dry weather today, with temperatures reaching a high of 37°C. However, starting tomorrow, the temperature is expected to rise further, potentially reaching 38°C, accompanied by intense sunlight during the day and relatively cooler nights.
Winds from the northeast are currently blowing at a speed of 8 km/h, and the humidity level is recorded at 41%, contributing to the dry conditions.
In addition to the soaring temperatures, Karachi’s air quality is a cause for concern. The city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has registered a high reading of 145 particulate matter, indicating unhealthy pollution levels that may affect residents’ health.
The PMD also predicts mainly dry weather across most parts of the country for the next 12 hours, offering little relief from the ongoing heatwave in Karachi.
