Kashmir Martyrs’ Day Being Observed with Reverence Across the Globe

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control, in Pakistan and across the globe, are observing Kashmir Martyrs’ Day today to pay homage to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, and all others who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a complete shutdown is being observed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) today. Indian authorities have barred people from visiting the Martyrs’ Graveyard at Naqshband Sahib in Srinagar, where the martyrs of July 13 are laid to rest.
Rallies and seminars are being held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, across Pakistan, and in major cities around the world, including London and New York, to honor the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs.
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leadership, in their statements, said the freedom movement has entered a decisive phase after withstanding all coercive measures and conspiracies by India.
The APHC urged the United Nations and the international community to play their role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
