=Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging the terrorism charges registered against him in connection with the PTI protest at D-Chowk.

The petition was filed on his behalf by counsel Haji Ajmal Khan Mohmand, who has urged the court to remove the terrorism charges from the case. The petition argues that the protesters were simply exercising their constitutional right to peaceful assembly and that the charges filed against them are unjustified.

The case, which was registered on November 26 at the Secretariat police station in Islamabad, includes charges of terrorism. Gandapur’s lawyer has requested the IHC to suspend the FIR or the terrorism charges until a final decision is made in the case.

This legal move comes after the protest held by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at D-Chowk, which led to the registration of the case against several party leaders and members. The outcome of the IHC’s decision could have significant implications for the political landscape in the country.
