Man kills woman and two children before committing suicide in Lahore shooting

A tragic incident of gun violence was reported in Lahore’s Mozang area, where a man shot and killed a woman and two children before taking his own life, according to police.

Authorities said the incident resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including the alleged attacker. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Ayesha, 14-year-old Mufra, and 12-year-old Muneeb. The attacker, who later committed suicide, was identified as 45-year-old Shahid.

Police further confirmed that two other individuals were injured in the shooting. The injured have been identified as 8-year-old Minal and 18-year-old Saman. Both were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where their condition is being monitored.

According to initial reports, the suspect opened fire on the woman and her two children inside a residential area, causing panic and fear among local residents. After carrying out the attack, the suspect turned the weapon on himself, resulting in his death at the scene.

Law enforcement officials reached the site shortly after the incident was reported and secured the area. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have begun investigations to determine the motive behind the killings. Authorities are also recording statements from witnesses and collecting forensic evidence from the crime scene to understand the circumstances that led to the tragic event.
