Legendary Singer Asha Bhosle Passes Away at 92

Legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle has passed away at the age of 92, marking the end of an era in South Asian music.
According to Indian media reports, she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday after her health deteriorated.
Sources revealed that the veteran singer was suffering from a chest infection, and her condition worsened due to multiple organ failure, leading to her death.
Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed that her last rites will be performed the following evening.

Earlier, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle had shared an update on social media platform X, informing fans about her hospitalization and requesting privacy for the family.
In her message, Zanai had said that Asha Bhosle was admitted due to extreme fatigue and a chest infection, expressing hope for her recovery at the time.
Asha Bhosle was one of the most celebrated playback singers in Bollywood history, with a career spanning decades and countless hit songs. She was honored with prestigious awards, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
