Lift falls in Mayo hospital Lahore, 8 injured

Lahore: A lift accident in the Orthopaedic Ward of Mayo Hospital, Lahore, left eight people injured, with four suffering bone fractures.
According to reports, 365 News has obtained the list of injured individuals, which includes two students and six hospital staff members. Among the wounded, two individuals have sustained serious fractures, while all are receiving medical treatment.
Doctors revealed that the lift was inaugurated just six months ago. At the time of the accident, 11 people were inside, despite the lift’s maximum capacity being 6 to 7 people.
It was also noted that the lift operator was absent from duty, which resulted in overcrowding. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the malfunction and whether safety protocols were overlooked.
