Maryam Nawaz Extends Honhaar Scholarship Deadline in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has extended the deadline for the Honhaar Scholarship Programme. This decision came in response to the devastating floods affecting the province. The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) announced the new deadline as October 26, 2025. The extension aims to help more students apply despite the challenging conditions. Officials encouraged eligible students to take advantage of the extra time.
The PHEC emphasized that the scholarship is merit-based and designed to ease parents’ financial burdens. It ensures students continue their education even during natural disasters. The program supports vulnerable families and safeguards students’ educational journeys. Students must submit applications before the new deadline to qualify. The commission stressed that no one should miss this important opportunity.
To assist students, the government has set up the Honhaar Scholarship Help Desk. This service operates daily from 9 am to 5 pm. It offers guidance and addresses complaints related to the scholarship. Students can reach out via WhatsApp, phone, or social media. The help desk ensures quick and effective support for applicants.
The helpline numbers for the scholarship are 042-99231903-4. WhatsApp support is available on 0303-4002777 and 0303-4002999. Additionally, students can send online complaints to complainthonhaar@punjabhec.gov.pk
and honhaar@punjabhec.gov.pk
. These contact points provide easy access for students seeking information or assistance.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s move to extend the deadline reflects her commitment to education. It highlights the government’s focus on supporting students during crises. The Honhaar Scholarship Programme remains a key initiative to empower youth across Punjab. Students are urged to apply soon and secure their educational future.
