The Punjab government has taken an important step to boost industrial growth and create new job opportunities. The provincial leadership has announced a new program for skilled youth, as the Punjab government decided to launch Maryam Nawaz Free Flight Card for skilled youth.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting where the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department gave a detailed briefing. Officials shared that under the Skill Development Program, training for over 180,000 young people has been completed within a few months, while 75,000 skilled youth have already found employment.

The meeting was informed that more than 15,000 Pakistani workers have successfully secured jobs in international organizations. Over 27,000 young people trained under TEVTA are now employed, while 45,000 graduates of the Punjab Vocational Training Council have also found jobs.

It was further highlighted that technical training in Punjab has increased by over 21% compared to the last five years. The government also decided to conduct a new industrial survey to identify skill gaps and prepare better employment plans for the youth.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the provincial government will soon start the Maryam Nawaz Free Flight Card to help skilled workers find jobs abroad — reaffirming that the Punjab government decided to launch Maryam Nawaz Free Flight Card for skilled youth.
