Maryam Nawaz stresses the importance of religious harmony and equal rights

“Pakistan has always been a lovely arrangement of diverse religions, cultures, and traditions,” said Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that Punjab is for everyone, where people can freely and fearlessly practice their faith, in her message on the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week.
She emphasised that love, peace, and tolerance, which are taught in all religions, are the cornerstones of a genuinely welfare-orientated society.
Maryam Nawaz encouraged individuals to accept diversity while upholding cultural and religious principles.
She emphasised that for there to be lasting peace and progress, unity must be fostered and religious views respected. She reiterated that all Pakistanis, including those in Punjab, had equal rights.
She said that in keeping with Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, the Punjabi government is acting practically to safeguard minorities and offer equitable opportunities. Temples, churches, and other houses of worship are being restored, and the Minority Card is being used to give financial support to underserved minority populations.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the government is celebrating minority holidays and that the welfare funding for minority communities has increased significantly. Additionally, initiatives are being made to increase minority employment and educational possibilities. To create a society free from extremism, she urged the dissemination of messages of love, unity, and peace in her closing remarks.
