PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has voiced his dissatisfaction over the ongoing talks between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the federal government, stating that despite the lack of progress, he remains hopeful for a positive outcome.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Maulana Fazl criticised the current political situation, particularly the ongoing discussions, which he believes have yet to yield any concrete results. However, he emphasised that he still holds hope that the talks will eventually lead to a resolution.

When questioned about a controversial statement made by an individual, the JUI-F leader stated that he refrains from commenting on the remarks of individuals, regardless of their nature.

Fazlur Rehman also expressed concern over the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), stating that the province was suffering from a lack of rule of law. He remarked that it seemed as though the KP government had lost its relevance and influence, further exacerbating the region’s issues.

The JUI-F leader called for more inclusive dialogue, urging the powers that be to engage with politicians to find solutions to the longstanding political and economic problems in the country.
