Medina regains status as a healthy city

Author Avatar Web Desk | 3 months ago

The Saudi city of Medina has once again been awarded the status of a healthy city by the World Health Organisation (WHO) after meeting 80 key health standards.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, alongside Medina, 14 other Saudi cities—including Taif, Tabuk, and Diriyah—have also been recognised as healthy cities.

Medina’s Governor, Prince Salman bin Sultan, received the official certificate from the Minister of Health. He stated that this honour reflects the leadership’s firm commitment to improving the quality of life for its residents and positions Medina as a leading model for development both regionally and internationally.

It is worth noting that Medina first received this recognition in 2019.
