If you’re seeing too many spam posts on Facebook lately — it’s not just you. Meta has officially admitted that Facebook feeds have become cluttered with irrelevant and disruptive content. The company has now launched a crackdown to clean things up.

From now on, users who post long, misleading, or irrelevant captions will see their reach limited — and they will no longer qualify for monetisation.

Meta is also targeting spam networks, fake comments, and pages that boost such content. Pages promoting spam could be shut down completely.

A new feature is also being tested that will allow users to downvote comments anonymously, helping to improve content quality.

These updates are part of Meta’s effort to make Facebook more appealing to young users. The popular “Friends” tab has returned, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly wants to bring back the classic Facebook feel.
