Mohammad Rizwan Responds to Criticism Over English Skills

Pakistan’s cricket captain and Multan Sultans’ star player Mohammad Rizwan has gracefully addressed recent criticism surrounding his English-speaking abilities, reminding fans and critics alike that his main responsibility is to serve the country through cricket, not language proficiency.
Speaking to journalists during a media interaction in Karachi, Rizwan acknowledged that he did not have the opportunity to complete his formal education. However, he expressed no shame over it and remained confident in his role as a national representative.
“I’m uneducated, but not embarrassed that I, as Pakistan’s captain, can’t speak English,” Rizwan stated. “Pakistan needs me for cricket, not for English.”
Rizwan emphasized that while his fluency in English may not be perfect, he is still able to communicate effectively — even with native speakers — and deliver his message when required. His calm and humble response won admiration on social media, where fans praised him for his honesty and clarity.
