The Met Office announced that monsoon weather will continue in Karachi and nearby areas until September 30. Normally, the monsoon season lasts from late June to mid-September. However, in recent years, rains have extended into late September. This prolonged monsoon is now expected to bring more rain to the region. Residents should prepare for wet weather for the next few weeks.

Currently, Karachi is experiencing hot and humid conditions with sea breeze restored. Southwestern winds blow at 15 kilometers per hour in the city. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels remain high at around 85 percent. These factors create a comfortable but sticky atmosphere in Karachi.

The weather report also mentioned the formation of clouds due to increased water vapor. Drizzling or light rain is expected soon because of local weather conditions. The Met Office forecasts the next monsoon spell within five days. This means residents may experience more rainfall shortly. The rain will help cool down the city’s hot weather.

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the heavy rain system causing floods in Malir and Lyari has moved away from Karachi. This system had its origins in the Kirthar mountain range catchment area. The depression over the North Arabian Sea shifted westwards. Therefore, immediate heavy showers are less likely, but light rains remain possible.

In conclusion, Karachi will continue to see monsoon weather until the end of September. The region should expect hot, humid days with occasional drizzles and light rain. The sea breeze and southwest winds will bring some relief from the heat. People are advised to stay alert for weather updates as the next monsoon spell approaches.
