Multan’s Puncture Worker Wins Asian Bodybuilding Gold for Pakistan

A young man from Multan, who once repaired punctures for a living, has made Pakistan proud on the international stage. Firasat Ali won the gold medal at the 57th Asian Bodybuilding Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ali competed in the 75kg junior category, where he outperformed tough opponents from India and Afghanistan. His victory earned him the title of Asian Champion, and he raised the Pakistani flag high during the medal ceremony.
Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation Secretary, Suhail Anwar, revealed that Ali works at a puncture shop in Multan. He praised Ali’s journey as proof that talent and hard work matter more than background or resources. Officials called his success a source of inspiration for young athletes across the country.
This is not Ali’s first achievement. Last year, he also claimed the title of Mr Punjab, showing his consistent growth in the sport. His triumph in Bangkok has now given Pakistan recognition at the Asian level.
Adding to the celebration, Pakistan’s Ijaz Khan also secured gold in the Masters 80kg category at the same event. The 51-year-old bodybuilder’s win brought Pakistan its second gold medal in the championship, doubling the country’s pride.
The federation called both victories a positive sign for bodybuilding in Pakistan. They said the achievements of Firasat Ali and Ijaz Khan highlight the potential of Pakistani athletes to shine on international platforms despite limited resources.
