Mumbai Rains Flood Amitabh Bachchan’s Luxury Bungalow

Mumbai faced one of its heaviest downpours, recording 300 millimetres of rain in 24 hours. The torrential rain turned roads into rivers and paralysed daily life. Even the city’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, home to film stars, were severely affected. Residents described the situation as chaotic and frightening.

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan’s luxury bungalow was also hit by the flooding. A viral video showed his iconic house “Pratiksha” filled with water. The gates opened to reveal rainwater rushing inside like a wave. Social media users expressed shock at the sight. Many said the rain had spared no one, rich or poor.

Videos from Juhu, a posh Mumbai locality, showed water up to ankle level on streets. Bachchan’s residence, worth around 200 crore rupees, appeared submerged. Fans were stunned to see the superstar’s dream home surrounded by floodwater. The images spread quickly, sparking concern and sympathy online.

Social media reactions were mixed, with some sharing humour. One user wrote, “Neither Ambani nor Bachchan could escape the rains.” Another commented, “At Pratiksha’s gate, water is the new king.” Others compared the scenes to a dramatic Bollywood storyline.
