Musa Pak Express Derails Near Raiwind, Four Injured in Train Accident

A passenger train traveling from Lahore to Multan met with an accident near Raiwind railway station. The Musa Pak Express derailed, causing panic among passengers. Railway sources confirmed that the train’s engine and two coaches went off the track.
The incident injured four people who were quickly moved to a nearby hospital. Train staff and emergency teams responded immediately to assist passengers.
According to railway officials, the derailment happened due to brake failure. The train was moving at the time of the fault, leading to the sudden accident. Authorities quickly halted rail traffic on the affected track. Engineers and maintenance crews reached the site to assess the damage. Passengers were safely evacuated from the derailed coaches.
The injured were given first aid before being transferred to medical facilities for further treatment. Officials confirmed that their conditions were stable.
Rescue workers continued to clear the track and remove the damaged coaches. Efforts were made to restore train services as quickly as possible. Railway authorities have started an investigation into the cause of the brake failure.
This incident occurred just a day after another train accident in Balochistan. The Jaffar Express, traveling from Quetta to Peshawar, was involved. Six of its coaches derailed near Spezend in Mastung district. The derailment happened after an explosion damaged the railway track as the train passed over it.
Railway sources reported that the explosion occurred around 9 a.m. when the Jaffar Express was on its scheduled journey. Fortunately, there were no deaths or serious injuries reported in that incident. Security forces and rescue teams reached the site quickly. The damaged portion of the track was cordoned off for repairs.
