The land problem in Karachi is very important, and action will be taken shortly, said Lieutenant General (retd) Nazir Ahmad Butt, Chairman of the National Bureau of Investigation.

Speaking on an occasion, the chairman of the National Bureau of Investigation (NAB) stated that there is massive fraud in Sindh and that if the records of 7,500 acres of property in Karachi are made public, it would cause issues for many people. He also added that the land issue in Karachi is much more significant than the one in Kashmir.

Butt went on to say that builders encountered several problems and that Sindh lacked a suitable system for land records.

“Everything has been noted, and NAB supports the builders.” NAB will act on its initiative if they present evidence of corruption by KDA, MDA, and LDA, he said.

He said that there were incidents of corruption in land transactions in Gwadar involving properties valued at almost 3 trillion rupees.

Justice would be served, the chairman promised the Karachi Chamber of Commerce.

He gave the DG NAB instructions to provide a report on the master plan for Karachi.
