Nadia Hussain apologizes, clarifies her stance on fake FIA call

Model and actor Nadia Hussain on Monday apologized for any misunderstanding regarding her statements about the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), stating that she had no intention to disrespect any official.
Speaking to the media outside the FIA office, Nadia said she had provided all necessary information to the officials regarding a fake call she received.
Her apology comes as the FIA launched an investigation against her under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), following allegations that she had made baseless accusations against the agency.
The controversy began when Nadia claimed on Instagram that a man posing as an FIA officer attempted to defraud her. She alleged that the caller demanded Rs 30 million as a bribe for her husband’s bail, following his recent arrest in a financial embezzlement case.
According to Nadia, the caller insisted that the matter remain confidential. Initially, she almost believed him but later realized it was a fraud attempt. She filed a complaint on the FIA portal but was unaware that a written complaint was also required.
She clarified that the suspect only contacted her via WhatsApp and urged authorities to take strict action against fraudsters.
Nadia also suggested that the FIA collaborate with her on an awareness campaign to educate people on avoiding such scams. She encouraged the public to report fraudulent calls and not be afraid to take action against such criminals.
